what all these acronyms are that the US military uses. I'll list them here, and
if anyone has any questions about them, just let me know. If you don't know what
it is, then there's probably someone else who doesn't know either, so please
send me an email so I can post it here.
FOB = Forward Operating Base
TOC/CP = Tactical Operating Center/Command Post
IED = Improvised Explosive Device
VBIED = Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Device
RPG = Rocket Propelled Grenade
SFA = Small Arms Fire
IP = Iraqi Police
ICDC = Iraqi Civil Defense Corps
COMSEC = Communications Security
EOD = Explosive Ordnance Disposal
HHC = Headquarters and Headquarters Company
DFAC = Dining Facility
IN = Infantry
EN = Engineers
QRF = Quick Reaction Force
NVG = Night Vision Goggle
